I'm sure a lot of you have probably already come across these vids on youtube. But for those that haven't, this is just way too awesome for you to be kept in the dark about!

So far as I can tell, this is a German version of Phantom. Obviously they are ripping off ALW to the extent of using the same half-mask, but it isn't the ALW version. It's kind of awesome in that Christine is a blonde, and that the Phantom's Red Death costume, in a room full of dress-clothes-clad-men with identical masks (in various colours), is exactly the same-- except his mask is red, and he's got "Death" (Tod) written on his back. In red. So, you know, it's the Red Death costume. XD
It sort of seems an interesting production. Lower budget, apparently <strike>given the Red Death costume haha</strike> as the sets are mainly pictures projected onto a backdrop, but the costuming is better than Phantom X, at least. XD
The site is in German, but through the magic of Google Translate I learn that the Phantom is played by the same guy who did Graf Krolock in Tanz der Vampire.

I'm told it's actually dreadful, but I couldn't wait through the 15 minute clip at the bottom before sharing it with you all. So go check it out! :D |

Friends, Romans, Phanwankers! Lend me your ocular units! 'Cos boy howdy, do I have a movie for you!
I'm actually rather suprised that this particular little gem hasn't gotten it's well deserved roasting on here. It's phan made, and quite recent. Yes, I speak of Angel of Music. It's like someone took book!verse bad!fic and filmed it! If anyone actually HAS wanked this before, I really do apologize for the thunder stealing, I honestly couldn't find the wank for it. Please see either Thor or Hephastus to get some nice new thunder.
Another note before I rip into this (and maybe I'm just going a bit soft in my old age) is that despite all of the WTF and bad acting, they really did seem to try, so kudos for that. But having their little phan hearts in the right place doesn't make the end result any less insane.
Also, I'm typing as I watch, so this is going to probably end up being random and disjointed as hell.
( At least it can all be chalked up to a bad acid trip. ) |

Okay, this is probably the shortest fic in history. XD
Phantom of the Opera by Hans von Hozel
See, apparently Hans is out to piss off every single fandom in existence. LOL No, I don't mean, "Wow, this guy is a real asshole," I mean he has literally made it his mission to write one fic for every single fandom out there, despite not knowing the slightest thing about said fandoms (not that it stops some of the Phanbrats lol), and to tick each fandom off with each fic. XD So far he's up to 218. TVTropes lists him as amongst the worst fanfic writers ever (in their So Bad It's Good category), adding that he's "currently on a mission to defile every single major fandom with ridiculous but elegant bite-size interpretations."
And, yeah, he's done Phantom. XD
( Hardly worth putting under a cut, frankly. ) Poetry. Sheer poetry. XD
The hilarious part is the reviews. Some people get what he's up to, but others obviously haven't got a clue. XD
So there you have it! Probably the shortest, worst Phantom fic ever. XD |
